TestCom 2006 is the 18th event in a series of international workshops and conferences. Formerly TestCom was known as the International Workshop for Protocol Test Systems (IWPTS). Eight workshops took place:

  1. IWPTS’89: Berlin, Germany, Oct. 1989
  2. IWPTS'90: McLean, Virginia, U.S.A., Oct. 1990
  3. IWPTS'91: Leidschendam, Netherlands, Oct. 1991
  4. IWPTS'92: Montréal, Canada, Sept. 1992
  5. IWPTS'93: Pau, France, Sept. 1993
  6. IWPTS 94: Tokyo, Japan, Nov. 1994
  7. IWPTS’95: Evry, France, Sept.1995
  8. IWPTS'96: Darmstadt, Germany, Sept. 1996

In 1997 it became the International Workshop on Testing Communicating Systems (IWTCS). There were three workshops:

  1. IWTCS'97: Cheju Island, Korea, Sept. 1997
  2. IWTCS'98: Tomsk, Russia, Aug.-Sept. 1998
  3. IWTCS'99: Budapest, Hungary, Sept. 1999

Since 2000 the conference is called the International Conference on Testing Communicating Systems (TestCom). The conference locations have been as follows:
