Abstract
Malcolm will review FTTP activities in Japan, China, Korea, USA and Europe. He will show practical examples of deployment together with target costs from installations world wide. He will attempt to show the commercial drivers for FTTP in competitive economies such as USA and give reasons why FTTP is not likely to be deployed significantly in Europe in the foreseeable future.
