My Work at Telcordia Technologies
I work in the Internet Service Management
Research Department of the Internet Architecture Research Lab at Telcordia Technologies.
I am a director for the "service integration research" group in this department,
also the initiative manager of the Telcordia Horizons program "PSTN/IN and
Internet Interworking".
I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer
and Information Science from the Ohio
State University in Columbus, Ohio. I then worked for Bell Labs from
1988-1992 in SS7 development of 5ESS Switches. I have been with Telcordia Technologies since 1992.
I am a subject matter expert in the PSTN regarding SS7, ISDN, Intelligent Network, service creation,
and feature interaction. Since 1996, I have been working to integrate PSTN/IN
and Internet, especially with the VoIP technology. This led me into H.323,
SIP, SDP and their interworking with SS7, ISDN, and IN. I am married with
3 children. My family lives in Morris Plains, New Jersey about 4.5 miles
from the Telcordia Morristown facility.
