Farooq Anjum
Farooq Anjum is a Research Scientist at Telcordia. He is currently active in several
research projects including the design of a compensating middleware namely the IDM,
investigations into the use of agent technology, analysis of TCP behavior over wireless
links using cross layer techniques as well as activities like Wireless Application Protocol
(WAP) and Java APIs for Advanced Integrated Networks (JAIN). Farooq joined Telcordia after
completing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland
at College Park in 1999. His thesis was in the area of analytical modeling of TCP
algorithms with special focus on wireless links. He has also worked extensively in the
area of location management in cellular networks as also in the area of adaptive and robust
control theory. Farooq has published several papers in all these areas.
